A monitored alarm additionally signals an Alarm Receiving Centre, which verifies the activation and dispatches keyholders, response services or the police. Monitoring adds an annual or monthly cost but significantly increases response speed.
Will the police respond if my alarm goes off?
Police response in the UK requires the alarm to have an active URN (Unique Reference Number), issued only to monitored alarms installed by SSAIB or NSI accredited companies that meet sequential confirmation requirements. Standard bells-only alarms don’t get police response. We can set up URN-eligible monitoring on request.
How often does an intruder alarm need servicing?
